Das Ensemble Diderot führt seine Erkundung der Entwicklung und Verbreitung der Triosonate im barocken Europa mit dieser aufregenden Neuerscheinung fort. Ganz Werken gewidmet, die nach dem Tod Lullys entstanden sind, feiert das Album die neu gewonnene Freiheit zu jener Zeit, als Komponisten anfingen, den französischen Stil mit transalpinem Feuer zu verbinden. Johannes Pramsohler und seine Musiker geben sich diesem Programm, das wieder einige Weltersteinspielungen enthält, mit gewohnter Präzision, Leidenschaft und Energie hin.
