Der spanisch-niederländische Hornist José Sogorb, 3. Hornist des Königlichen Concertgebouw-Orchesters, veröffentlicht Mélodies Volées, eine facettenreiche Hommage an die Melodie. Voler" bedeutet auf Französisch "gestohlen". Eine Melodie zu stehlen oder (besser) ihre "DNA" zu benutzen, ist ein Phänomen, das es seit jeher gibt. Wem gehört eigentlich eine Melodie? Dieser Frage geht José auf diesem sublim vielseitigen Album nach. Er tut dies in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem großartigen Pianisten Éadaoin Copeland auf dem Großteil des Programms und mit Josés RCO-Kollegen Miriam Pastor Burgos, Mark Braafhart und Rob Dirksen. Auf Mélodies Volées erwartet Sie tadelloses Hornspiel mit einem Repertoire, das von J.S. Bach, Schubert, Brahms, De Falla, Pärt bis hin zu halb improvisierter Musik reicht und mit einem neuen Arrangement eines Björk-Liedes endet, das wieder zu Gottfried Heinrich Stölzel zurückführt (der ein Zeitgenosse Bachs war).
