'Quadrophenia' mal klassisch – Pete Townshend, der Vater der Rockoper, meldet sich mit einem neuen Projekt zurück. Mit ihrem außergewöhnlichen Stil prägten Pete Townshend und The Who die Entwicklung der Musik nachhaltig. Jetzt wagt sich der musikalische Revolutionär mit Unterstützung in die klassische Musik.
Erstmals wird das bahnbrechende Album 'Quadrophenia' in einer klassischen Version veröffentlicht und mit einem großen Sinfonieorchester, Opernsänger/innen und Chor auf die Bühne gebracht. Neben dem The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra unter der Leitung von Robert Ziegler, konnte Townshend den Startenor Alfie Boe, Rocklegende Billy Idol und den Sänger und Schauspieler Phil Daniels für sein Vorhaben gewinnen. Mit dem Arrangement betraute er seine langjährige Vertraute Rachel Fuller.
