Info for The New Bossa Nova Groove Experience
The new album by French pianist and composer Jean-Michel Bernard, celebrating the Bossa Nova years of legendary composer Lalo Schifrin, is available now. Following the success of his first tribute album to Lalo Schifrin, Jean-Michel Bernard once again dedicates himself to the Bossa Nova period of the Argentinian master—composer and performer. Blending jazz, Latin, and classical music, he interprets iconic works by Schifrin and other great Bossa Nova masters in a modern and sophisticated style, accompanied by accomplished musicians.
Jean-Michel Bernard's multifaceted and surprising arrangements are accompanied by Kimiko Ono's smooth and radiant voice, Paul Meyer's clarinet, Khalil Chahine's guitar, Xavier Desandre Navarre's drums, François Constantin's percussion, and Pierre Boussaguet's double bass. Each piece blends classical rigor with jazzy freedom to create an elegant, vibrant, and surprising sonic journey. An essential album for lovers of bossa nova, jazz, and film music, where creativity and inventiveness merge in every note.
