Through their brotherly collaboration, Gregor Huebner and Veit Huebner weave a pulsating, living tapestry of rhythm, melody and space. Using loop stations and live-generated effects, these two leading jazz musicians build dense, almost orchestral soundscapes in layers – transparent and powerful at the same time, highly energetic and imbued with great poetic depth.

For the first time, the brothers are now presenting themselves as a duo, recording and performing together using loop stations and electronic effects devices that they previously developed in their solo projects. Their repertoire includes their own compositions, jazz standards and newly interpreted classical works.

Through the creative use of electronics and live looping, the Huebner Brothers create multi-layered, almost orchestral soundscapes, enriched by virtuoso improvisations. Both artists are regarded as versatile jazz soloists and composers as well as classically trained instrumentalists. On their album ‘A Family Affair’, they bring together their decades of experience across a broad spectrum of musical styles to form a cohesive and distinctive artistic statement.

Huebner Brothers:
Gregor and Veit Hübner have been performing on international stages for over four decades. In the 1980s and 1990s, they co-founded the Bel Art Trio, which was later followed by the groups Tango Five and, since 2011, the Trio Berta Epple. In addition to these long-standing projects, both musicians have been involved in numerous high-profile jazz collaborations, including with Charlie Mariano, Randy Brecker, Dave Liebman and Richie Beirach. Veit Huebner was also a member of El Violin Latino, a project initiated by Gregor in New York.
