Info for Blue Neighbourhood (Deluxe)
„Blue Neighbourhood“ is a musical trip full of twists and turns, cutting-edge production, sparse booming beats, majestic flourishes and beautiful modern poetry. Troye Sivan has built an intoxicating mini-universe of high emotion, exuberance and fragility. It's a gleaming statement in state-of-the-art pop, an international soundtrack for today.
At its core is the pure, honest, fragile, nuanced, exquisite, anxious, aching, soulful vocal stylings of Troye Sivan. There are many around the world who've already pinned this unique sound as the voice of a generation.
Fans of Troye's recent 'Wild' mini-album, a certified worldwide pop chart phenomenon in its own right which went to #1 in Australia and #5 in the UK and US and topped #1 on iTunes in 57 countries around the world, will have a strong sense of the cutting-edge sonic soundscape that awaits here – the six songs from 'Wild' serve as act one on this expanded electronica opera that is „Blue Neighbourhood.“
Troye Sivan
(born Troye Sivan Mellet on June 5, 1995 in Johannesburg, South Africa) is a South African-born Australian singer, songwriter, actor and YouTube personality. Troye’s family moved to Australia when he was just two-years-old due to rising crime. While growing up in Perth, Troye pursued his interest in music by singing at the Channel Seven Perth Telethon. His 2006 performance included a duet with Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian. While competing in Australia’s StarSearch in 2007, he made it to the grand finals. Such success led to him releasing his debut EP, Dare To Dream, in 2008. In 2013, he was signed to EMI Australia and in 2014, he released a five-son EP called TRXYE. It debuted at No. 1 on iTunes in over 55 countries. The lead single from the EP, “Happy Little Pill,” broke the Top 10 on the ARIA single Chart and it was certified Gold. His second EP, Wild, was released in September 2015. His followed it up with his debut studio album, Blue Neighbourhood, in December 2015. In May 2016, Troye performed as the 2016 Billboard Awards, the biggest stage of his career at the time. In addition to singing, Troye is an accomplished actor.
