Info for Vatroslav Lisinski: Deutsche Lieder - German Songs

World premiere of the German lieder by the Croatian composer Vatroslav Lisinski. These lieder belong to the early Romantic period and were composed mainly in 1846.

In his 35 years of life, Lisinski left behind a body of work that was unexpectedly extensive for someone who turned to music relatively late in life. Among the 160 surviving compositions – in addition to the operas and orchestral works already mentioned – his choral works, piano pieces and art songs in Croatian, Czech, Slovak and German are particularly noteworthy.

Kresimir Strazanac, bass-baritone
Kresimir Starcevic, piano
