Chouchane Siranossian
is an outstanding violinist with a fascinating path . She is an acclaimed baroque violinist as well as a sought-after concert master by many orchestras. She is well known for her exceptional virtuosity along with her deep knowledge of baroque music and contemporary repertoire.

She was born in 1984 in Lyon and began her musical studies in Romans’s Conservatoire de Musique (France) with Anaïd Nazar. There she passed her « Prix d’Excellence » with the highest marks. Simultaneously she was taught by the great Master Tibor Varga in Sion until 1999. The following year she was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur in Lyon to study with Pavel Vernikov. Shortly after this she started to study with Zakhar Bron at the Musikhochschule in Zurich. There she graduated with a « Solisten Diplom » in 2007 with the highest distinctions. Following her studies she won the audition for concert master in the Symphonic Orchestra of Sankt Gallen (Switzerland). She left the orchestra in 2009 when she began her tuition on the baroque violin with Reinhard Goebel. She studied intensively with him at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and has since collaborated regularly with Reinhard Goebel as a soloist or as a concert master. Due to her intimate knowledge of the sources she delivers thrilling performances of and composes original cadenzas for major violin concertos such as Mozart, Beethoven and Vivaldi, that are acclaimed by the public and the press.

Chouchane is regularly invited as a soloist or concert master by numerous orchestras on the modern/mainstream violin as well as on the baroque violin, with among others Bertrand Chamayou, Philippe Bianconi, Benjamin Engeli, Michel Béroff, Daniel Ottensamer, Thomas Demenga, Isabelle Faust, Dorothee Oberlinger, Kristin Von der Goltz, Rudolf Lutz, Rüdiger Lotter, Philippe Herreweghe, Roy Goodman, Giuliano Carmignola, Christophe Coin, Michael Hofstetter, RenéJacobs, Reinhard Goebel, is invited as concertmaster by the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Capella Coloniensis, Concerto Köln, Kammerorchester Basel, Münchener Kammerorchester, Staatskapelle Dresden, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen… Chouchane performs in very prestigious halls such as the salle Gaveau in Paris, Tonhalle in Zürich, Philharmonie in Cologne, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Semperoper in Dresden, Prinzregententheater in Munich… She is the concert master of the Capella Augustina in Cologne.

The broad spectrum of her repertoire leads her to discover and record rarely played pieces. Alongside her activity in the baroque scene she often premieres works of contemporary composers like Daniel Schnyder, Marc-André Dalbavie, Bechara El-Khoury, Eric Tanguy.

In 2014 she released her first solo CD by the label OehmsClassics. She has made live recordings for radios such as NDR, DRS2, WDR, BR-KLASSIK, ORF, Radio Suisse Romande, Radio classique…

Chouchane plays a Giuseppe and Antonio Galliano lent to her by M.Madelung, Munich, and a Giuseppe Guarneri, fillius Andrea (late 17th century) lent to her by Olivier Gary, Mulhouse, and Christinne and Frédéric Bodin, Binningen, Suisse.
