Info for Nemesis AD
In the footsteps of Albrecht Dürer - the new album by symphonic metal institution SERENITY!
SERENITY are back with a new opus and are once again embarking on a symphonic journey through time! Nemesis AD is a worthy successor to the successful album The Last Knight (2020), which reached number 25 in the German charts. After recruiting Marco Pastorino (Temperance) as an additional guitarist and backing vocalist, the Austrian SERENITY take us on a journey into the world of the Renaissance on their new studio album, which will be released on 27 October 2023 via Napalm Records. They dedicate themselves to the life and art of the famous German painter Albrecht Dürer and present their own musical interpretation of it.
SERENITY set the pace for the whole album with the furious opener "Memoriae Alberti Dureri". This is immediately followed by the no less impressive "The Fall of Man", on which the band is joined by the brilliant singer Roy Khan (Conception, ex-Kamelot). On "Ritter, Tod und Teufel", a track named after a work by Dürer, the symphonic metallers come up with a special surprise: for the first time in their 20-year success story, they perform in German!
With their new studio album Nemesis AD, SERENITY expand their remarkable discography with a bombastic symphonic metal masterpiece and once again underpin their established status in the scene.

SERENITY
stand for high-class symphonic metal and released their fifth album at the beginning of 2016 via Napalm Records. Their first headline tour across Europe in 2013 was followed by appearances as support acts for Within Temptation and Powerwolf and shows in the USA. SERENITY are well on their way to becoming the new symphonic metal heroes of Europe.
Serenity's songs are inspired by famous historical figures such as the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I, Napoleon Bonaparte, Leonardo da Vinci etc. and are real must haves for any melodic or symphonic metal fan. Serenity sets the world on fire - stories about times long past, catchy melodies and an unprecedented sound spectrum never let you stop celebrating the songs. For years, the band has been a prime example of epic symphonic and melodic metal with a certain heaviness and a lot of heart. Serenity keeps redefining themselves without forgetting their roots - be part of their great journey! Serenity for eternity...
