Info for Whether It Is Necessary Remains to Be Seen (Remaster)

Behind this abbreviation we find Messrs Klaus Blomvik, Roger Williamsen and Bernt Moen. BWM Trio is structured like a classical piano trio, but in a kind of non-Norwegian way. Both power and finesse, and the technical excess is a springboard for intense interaction. Playful and precise, groovy and fun!" (Stephan Meidell, Bergens Tidende)

The three musicians wish to challenge themselves and the audience with musical energy and drive. The inspiration from the American jazz tradition is clear in both compositions and exploratory improvisations. After a ten-year hiatus with various separate projects, BWM celebrated itself in 2012 with the release of "Jazz....Øh!", which received rave reviews. "They are solidly coordinated and swing wildly", stated NRK. "With this album, BWM Trio has really set a standard to build on", it was read in Dagsavisen. "The album has simply become one of the big surprises of the year, here at home and internationally," stated Jazznytt. Not bad diplomas to have in your suitcase!

Bernt Moen, piano
Roger Williamsen, double bass
Klaus Robert Blomvik, drums

BWM Trio
started in 1997/98 in Kristiansand, and although many wonder what became of the pianist, he has been a regular member of the band Shining and has also participated in other jazz releases. Then last year he appeared with a bunch of digital releases, including two terrific piano solo albums where most of them were his own improvisations, and the album "Closure" with another trio. Behind "Jazz! 'Uh' stands for three now well-deserved guys who definitely mustn't let it be with this album, which ends so beautifully with the piece 'Piu Piux'. Instead, it must be the start of something good, as it is called in a song by Steve Allen (guess who) immortalized by countless artists including Ella Fitzgerald. With this album, BWM Trio has really set a standard to build on.

This album contains no booklet.
