After the successful album “Keyf” which he released last year with his Vasil Hadžimanov band, Hadžimanov’s new studio work is the solo album “Innerscape”.

“Innerscape” presents 11 compositions that once again bring innovative arrangements and authentic sound aesthetics characteristic of Hadžimanov. On the new album, Hadžimanov appears as a performer, composer and arranger, programmed additional instruments and mixed and produced the entire material. As a special guest on the album, in the composition “Čovek peva posle rata”, the famous theater and film actor Bekim Fehmiu appears as a reciter, based on the text by the poet, novelist and playwright Dušan Vasiljev.

A persistent, omnipresent and musician of endless working energy and musicality, Vasil Hadžimanov, pianist, composer, arranger, producer and pedagogue, is an important and connecting link in the regional jazz scene. He carries in himself the genes of his ancestors who, each in their own way, left their mark on the music of the Balkans as an unbreakable chain of guardians, interpreters and bearers of tradition. Ever since the first lessons that the famous double bassist and composer Vojin Draškoci gave him with great patience, introducing him to the world of jazz, Hadžimanov has followed his world of unique colors and sounds, creating his own authentic musical statement.
