The pianist and composer has returned to her roots with her scholarship. In Wittenberg, she has been working on compositions for piano and electronics. Friederike Bernhardt combines neoclassical writing style and electroacoustics in her works and works in the field of theatre music and electronic-classical avant-garde. With Moritz Fasbender, a new alias, she now focuses more on solo piano pieces with discreetly interwoven electronics. During the scholarship, a single including a video shoot and an EP entitled "RABBITS" released on Sony Classical / XXIM were created. Everything was recorded on the piano in her remaining children's room in Wittenberg as well as in the studio in Leipzig. For the field recordings, she recorded sounds from her garden for 1-2 hours every day, whether it was just the wind or her father's gardening, everything flowed into the record. Her work was initially reviewed and discussed by Max Dax, but after two months she was given an additional sparring partner: 380 Grad, a management agency from Berlin, namely Sven Hasenjäger. He connected her with all the necessary institutions and made sure that her pieces were heard. For the piece "Aride Alas", a video was shot in the Villa Hasenholz in Leipzig, giving Moritz Fasbender an imposing stage for her multi-layered, wavering, at once silent and later rearing up play. This piece has also been recorded on a compilation of piano music. Musicians such as Nils Frahm or Olafur Arnalds are also represented with pieces on "Piano Day".

Friederike Bernhardt aka Moritz Fasbender
born in 1986 in Wittenberg, studied piano in Toulouse (F) and worked at the opera there before she began studying dramaturgy in 2005 and electroacoustic composition at HMT Leipzig in 2009. From 2008 she worked mainly as a stage musician and composer for film and especially theater, in recent years mainly at the Burgtheater Vienna, the Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Deutsches Theater Berlin.

Since 2011 she is a jury member of the Klangsuechtig competition for film music and also works on various sound installations. She regularly sets radio plays to music for the DLF, SWR, WDR.

Furthermore, she is a member of the Berlin-based LAWBF collective, pianist of the piano trio ION, scholarship holder of the International Artist Residency Pilotenkueche and member of the Kaninchenschutz e.V.
