American folk-pop singer-songwriter Brenn! announces his debut album, AMATEUR AT BEST, arriving June 12th via Darkroom Records. Through this project, Brenn! offers listeners a messy, honest snapshot of the past couple of years, defined by a jumbled mix of unbelievable highs and crushing lows. His vocals ring out across each track over ragged blends of electronic guitars and banjo ripples, pulling back the curtain on vulnerability and growing pains.

Written between homes in Alabama and Tennessee, AMATEUR AT BEST came together with songwriter Maddox Shafer, the duo congregating in Keller’s home to create a twelve-song project that serves an overarching theme. The album uses baseball imagery to reflect a year of major personal change for Brenn!, including moving away from home, going through his first breakup, and learning to live independently while continuing to develop his musicality. Throughout it all, the phrase “amateur at best” looped in his mind, ultimately becoming the perfect title for his debut album.
