Info for Songs About You

Solon Holt releases his debut album, "Songs About You".

The album arrives during a busy stretch for the East Texas native. Earlier this year Holt released “Sad Country Songs,” his first release under his newly announced partnership with Trenches Records and Republic Records. He is also currently on the road supporting Megan Moroney on her Cloud 9 Tour, a sold-out arena run that kicked off May 29th in Columbus, Ohio and runs through August 22th at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Holt grew up in East Texas in a musical family (his mother is a classical pianist and his father a blues musician) and began playing in a gospel band at age 14. He signed with UMPG Nashville in 2024 before inking his label deal with Trenches and Republic. His early singles “Right Where I Belong,” “Make Me Wonder,” and “East Texas and You” built a grassroots following ahead of the album.

Solon Holt is an emerging singer-songwriter known for blending traditional storytelling with gospel, bluegrass, and soulful influences. Raised in a musical family, he began performing at a young age—playing in a gospel band at just 14—which helped shape his early sound and musicianship.

He continued developing as an artist in his hometown of Tyler, TX before relocating to Nashville to pursue music. His upbringing—rooted in gospel services and a household influenced by classical piano and blues—continues to inform his style, which leans heavily on authenticity and emotional songwriting. Inspirations for Solon include Norah Jones, John Mayer, James Taylor, Donny Hathaway, and Carole King.

Holt began releasing music in 2024, with songs like “Make Me Wonder,” “Good Does It Do,” and “East Texas and You.” His music often centers on themes of relationships, reflection, and personal growth, delivered through a stripped-down, roots-driven sound.
