Info for Dark Wave
After the success of his first album, DEUS EX MACHINA, Initiative H embarks on his latest adventure with DARK WAVE. Recorded with the prestigious guests Médéric Collignon, Émile Parisien and Vincent Artaud, DARK WAVE is a sensational wave of jazz, electro and rock music which immerses the listener in an exquisite ocean of sounds. Two influences inspire the name of this project: first the musical influence, “Dark Wave”, a dark and romantic movement of the seventies; secondly, the iconographic influence of the “Dark Wavers”, extreme surfers that braved the huge waves of the High North.
Dark Wave, the eponymous title of the album, is its overture. Like an opera of the third millennium, it announces the whole of the record’s musical material. Like an endless quest through the oceans depths looking for the perfect wave, the supreme thrill, Initiative H concludes his journey with the song Time to Pretend, an incursion into the world of pop music with MGMT’s hit single.
