Info for Man's Ruin
If 2023’s viral single ‘Toothache’ was the springboard, Westislonely’s new EP ‘Man’s Ruin’ lays the claim for her rockstar power. After a turbulent personal year following 2025’s debut EP ‘Even A Worm Will Turn’, the 21-year-old has swapped Leeds for her Manchester roots and supercharged its follow-up with larger-than-life production and stark, vulnerable lyricism.
“I love the anger of punk, the joy of pop,” West says of her strikingly broad taste: modern visionaries FKA Twigs and Magdalena Bay plus 1960s icons like The Doors and The Velvet Underground. The EP’s emo-tinged songwriting is reflective of her life experiences – an eating disorder, toxic relationship and neglected friendships – and her core identity. “I do gravitate towards heavier, darker sounds, because I’m a slightly gloomy individual.”

WESTISLONELY
21 year-old rockstar Westislonely grew up with a huge musical influence from her 4 older brothers, who taught her to play guitar, drums and piano. Each one imparting their own tastes and styles on her gave West a profound musical education for her to now build upon when writing her own songs.
Working alongside the likes of Dimitri Tikovoi, Jolyon Thomas, Theo Hutchcraft, Jamie Scott, Oli Lundstrom, and more to develop her sound, West has everything in her locker and is destined for greatness.
