Info for the Sound of Art
Ferdi returns with The Sound of Art, a sophomore album that builds upon the success of Take 01 which reached No. 126 on the Top Albums chart. The album explores the connection between music and visual art, born from the artist's fascination with painters and what makes art truly impactful. Ferdi concludes that sincerity and simplicity, not complexity, create lasting emotional impact—a philosophy that shapes this deeply personal project. The record also serves as a tribute to the artist's mother, celebrating those who quietly shape our perspectives and sensitivities. Following her acclaimed debut, Ferdi delivers an irresistible and daring album that reaffirms her status as an innovator transforming the jazz landscape.

Ferdi
confirms his rise on the current music scene. His debut album Take 01 met with widespread public and critical acclaim. He is currently working on the preparation of his highly anticipated second album. On stage as on record, Ferdi brings jazz and indie pop into dialogue with a natural fluidity and rare elegance.
Originally from the north of France, Ferdi began learning the saxophone at the age of 6-7, as much out of curiosity about the instrument as out of a love of sound. After ten years of classical saxophone, he won a gold medal at the Douai Conservatoire and headed off to Brussels to study jazz for 5 years. A meeting with the Belgian rapper Peet gave him the opportunity of a first collaboration in 2021, which quickly led to two other great encounters: the king of funk Dabeull, then the Piano King Sofiane Pamart. In 2022, he took part in Scylla's new album, and then placed a solo track on Sofiane Pamart's album NOCHE the following year. He released his first project, Val Duchesse, in 2022, a short 5-track EP including the twirling ‘5H34’ in a duet with his trumpeter friend Béesau. In 2023 he unveiled Romance, a duet with Dabeull, an album combining the brilliance of the saxophone and the magic of funk. A rising star on the Brussels-Paris scene, Ferdi is preparing his first solo album for 2024, in a jazz/indie-pop universe that he builds and defines with care, passion and ambition.
