Samuel Wootton is a percussionist, composer and producer. He is inspired by jazz, world music and beat-orientated music, unconditionally unbiased, keen to experiment and always on the lookout for music that touches him emotionally. He finds what he is looking for in the Dadaist music of Tom Zé as well as in Kae Tempest or Tom Waits.

His own music has depth, humour and impressive instrumental variety. It tells stories and creates unique moods with pulsating rhythms and intimate melodies. His debut album "Allsorts" will be released on 19.01.2024 under his own name.

Samuel Wootton

Samuel Wootton was awarded the 'Kulturkreis Gasteig Musikpreis' and the 'Krach and Getöse Musikpreis'. He held scholarships from the 'Andechser Orff-Akademie des Münchener Rundfunkorchesters' and from the 'Oscar und Vera Ritter Stiftung'.
