American singer-songwriter Stephen Sanchez is releasing his second studio album, ‘Love, Love, Love’. Alongside the announcement, Sanchez has already released the title track of the same name, which offers a first glimpse of the direction his sound is taking following his debut.

Lyrically, Stephen Sanchez explores various forms of closeness and affection on ‘Love, Love, Love’ – whether romantic, friendly or between strangers. Stephen Sanchez himself says: “This album is inspired by the love I’ve been fortunate enough to experience myself, by the love I sometimes find difficult to give to others, and by my desire to bring people closer together again. To quote the title track: ‘That’s exactly what the world needs right now.’

The title track is already Stephen Sanchez’s second advance release. It follows the single ‘Sweet Love’, released in January, which became the strongest streaming debut of his career, reaching over 500,000 streams within the first day. The accompanying video was filmed at his grandparents’ house and tells a personal origin story: it was there, through his grandfather’s record collection, that Sanchez first discovered his passion for classic pop music.

The new track follows on from 2023’s “Angel Face”. That debut drew heavily on romantic soundscapes from doo-wop, early rock ’n’ roll ballads and orchestral pop arrangements of the 1950s and 1960s. At the time, media outlets such as NPR, SPIN and American Songwriter particularly praised Stephen Sanchez’s ability to blend nostalgic songwriting traditions with modern pop production.

However, Stephen Sanchez had already achieved his international breakthrough with the single ‘Until I Found You’, which racked up more than two billion streams worldwide and reached the Top 25 of the Billboard Hot 100. The song also became a live staple for the young musician: Sanchez performed it on shows such as Stephen Colbert’s and Jimmy Fallon’s, as well as at major concert events – such as Elton John’s final Glastonbury performance and a Lana Del Rey stadium concert at Fenway Park.

Stephen recently moved to Nashville, where he is currently recording his debut EP.
