Info for Till Death Do Us Part

Following a blockbuster summer bringing her Super Disco sci-fi DJ show to Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Osheaga, Lightning In a Bottle and more, drag icon and musical chameleon Trixie Mattel releases today ‘Till Death Do Us Part’.

A return to her guitar-driven, folk-leaning roots, but with some modern flourishes, ‘Till Death Do Us Part’ is both sincere and seasonal – a fit for October as well as all year round.

“It’s a heartfelt marriage of spooky synths and acoustic love-strumming,” said Trixie about the sonic direction. “I was so excited to write this album and it started out as a fun at-home project just for my own enjoyment.”

The forthcoming album calls to mind the acoustic-driven energy of Trixie’s debut album, ‘Two Birds’, which is nearing its decennial anniversary next year. The new record is the next installment of Trixie Mattel’s ever-evolving and versatile music catalog, which has included everything from her work in the aforementioned electronic DJ and folk worlds, respectively, as well as the surf-rock found on her ‘Barbara’ album and the plugged-in alternative garage sound of her double album ‘The Blonde & Pink Albums’.

Outside of music, Trixie Mattel has become a pillar of the pop culture zeitgeist, with a plethora of creative endeavors including a NY Times Best-Selling book, an award-winning podcast, sold-out comedy tours, beloved digital content, her Trixie Cosmetics beauty empire, and an impressive reality TV resume which includes winning the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, starring in her own television show Trixie Motel (where she designed and opened her own Palm Springs motel), and serving as a judge on two seasons of the singing competition Queen of the Universe.
