Info for Painted Skies
Jack Browning is a London-born singer-songwriter and acclaimed painter blending country, folk, blues, and rock - His debut album Red Eye Radio (2023) earned praise for its raw storytelling from the likes of Whispering Bob Harris, Ben Tod, Holler, Whiskey Riff and American Songwriter.
Jack has toured the UK, Europe, and US, sharing stages with Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers, Vincent Neil Emerson, Asleep At The Wheel, Willi Carlisle, and The White Buffalo, Kaitlin Butts and Noeline Hofmann at festivals like Red Rooster, Laurel Cove, Black Deer and Healing Appalachia.
His second album Painted Skies (2026) explores love, loss, and family. Jack also exhibits his visual art globally, with a sold-out debut solo show at Western Gallery in Austin in early 2025 preceding a landmark, sold-out showing at The Far West, curated by Mark Maggiori and Petecia LeFawnhawk and including Jeremy Lipking, Glenn Dean, and more.
Following up on his independent (and very succesful) debut album Jack's sophomore album, Painted Skies, arrives in 2026. Expanding both sonically and emotionally, the record explores life on the road, growing visibility, love and loss, artistic identity, and the complicated bond between father and son. Early singles have already drawn praise from Whispering Bob Harris, Whiskey Riff, Country Central, Holler, and American Songwriter, with regular airplay on BBC Radio 2 and even a live studio appearance on the invitation of presenter Cerys Matthews. The release will be supported by Jack's first full UK headline tour, further dates across north-west Europe, and return trips to the US including Texas Music Revolution and the Master Musicians Festival.
Jack Browning
Jack Browning
is a 26-year-old artist and musician hailing from London, but takes inspiration from all over Europe and the United States. A sucker for folk, blues, rock and country music, Jack divides his time between the recording studio, the art studio, and touring the UK and Europe.
Browning’s musical journey has taken him far and wide, across the UK and Europe and on to the United States, all thanks to his early band life, touring and playing with the likes of Jeff Beck, Joss Stone, and Gregory Porter during his late teens. With that musicianship experience money can’t buy and drawing inspiration from iconic alt-country musicians like Neil Young, Tom Petty, Tom Waits, and Bruce Springsteen, as well as folk legends like Townes Van Zandt and John Prine, his commitment to preserving the tradition of great songwriting while infusing it with his unique perspective has garnered him a devoted following.
Red Eye Radio, released in September 2023 and mastered by the acclaimed Charlie Francis, is a remarkable collection of original handpicked songs. These songs delve into the themes of life on the road, labouring as a construction worker, grappling with mental health, and the innate human desire to explore and wander. The album serves as a personal introspection to Browning, weaving together a rich tapestry of warm emotions and life experiences.
Browning collaborated closely with renowned producer Dan Lucas and a pool of talented musicians, including Rick Kent, Patrick Lyons, Wiza Kaluba, Brant Tilds, Wes Brooks, and Crosby Cofod. The result is a cohesive record with a narrative thread running through each track. All thanks to Browning’s leadership and talented songwriting ear.
