Info for Magnolia Sage

“Hey Mississippi” is the latest release from Dean’s forthcoming third studio album – an endeavor that found the rising singer/songwriter exploring new territory both sonically and lyrically following his acoustic forward debut album Greenbroke and it’s “near-perfect follow up” (American Songwriter) On The Back Of My Dreams. The track follows previously released songs “Be Your Man,” “dynamite single” (MusicRow) “Make A Liar,” “tender, beautifully rendered” (Entertainment Focus) “Over And Over” and “Wildfire,” which lets “Dean’s slick, commanding vocals take full control” (Country Central). The tracks come together to help form Magnolia Sage, Dean’s new album set for release on April 24. A stellar collection of songs that move from sweeping to soothing, rocking to ruminative, the 11-track project creates a sound that is singularly Jackson Dean: alive, vital, frisky, sexy and rugged.

The story of Magnolia Sage is told through two distinct, rich narrative lenses, with each of the 11 tracks fitting into one of the two worlds: Magnolia or Sage. Magnolia evokes vivid scenes of the Southeast and East Coast, sonically defined by heavy bass that booms and R&B influence that romances, while the stories and sounds of Sage transport listeners to the inherent restlessness and vast landscapes of the West. Whether Magnolia or Sage, east or west, soft or bold, the thread that holds the tapestry of Dean’s vision together is the steady influence of his longtime muse.

Jackson Dean

Jackson Dean
Odenton, Maryland native Jackson Dean is a singer/songwriter known for his old school, gritty style of Country. Mature beyond his years, Jackson has a daring and carefree spirit, having moved out at 18 years old to live in a cinderblock, concrete floor, one-room shack on the back of his grandfather’s property with no heat and no plumbing. Bringing that same sense of adventure to his songwriting, Jackson writes both independently and alongside outliers like Luke Dick, classic writers like Casey Beathard and everyone in between. Following the release of his debut collection JACKSON DEAN out now via Big Machine Records, Jackson continues to show people how real music can be with atmospheric, musically-forward album GREENBROKE due March 11. Featured on the soundtrack for Netflix’s The Ice Road and in an episode of Paramount Network’s Yellowstone, the stomping “Don’t Come Lookin’” is making its mark as his first single at Country radio. Following an early career of local performances in his hometown, Jackson has joined bills with superstar acts like Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Brantley Gilbert, Kane Brown, Jake Owen and Brothers Osborne.
