Despite his age, 25, Sebastiaan Visser is already a household name among jazz fusion guitar aficionados in the Netherlands, known for his rich sound and energetic playing. He is part of a new emerging generation of jazz musicians, who musically think outside the box. Nevertheless, fusion is his great passion, and he finds inspiration in jazz-rock icons like Allan Holdworth and John McLaughlin. “Always There” is his 2nd album.

"The production stays close to live recordings, with which Visser emphasizes his pursuit of authenticity. Subtle synthesizer tones and overdubs add extra layers, fitting within the fusion tradition. The title track refers to his admiration for Jeff Beck, while pieces like Self-Evident, Pending and Other Side invite introspection. The closing piece, Leap, introduces experimental vocal parts and opens up new soundscapes. Sebastiaan Visser
is a dutch jazz/fusion instrumentalist and composer. His self-produced debut album In the Box was released October 27, 2023 and features fellow musicians Deborah Slijkhuis, Igor Herstel and Tijmen Posthoorn. Sebastiaan is also a founding member of the experimental R&B act Koi Forest, and regularly performs as a sideman with Jarlentji, Wynonna Stoové and others.
