Auf diesem Album dreht sich alles um Liebe und Wahnsinn. Das Ensemble widmet sich einer Frage, die wohl so alt ist wie die Menschheit selbst: Kann Liebe ohne Verrücktheit überhaupt existieren? Wird die Leidenschaft vielleicht sogar aus dem Wahnsinn geboren? Wie verschiedene Komponisten der Barockzeit dieses Thema in Musik verwandelten, können die Zuhörer in diesem Programm auf vielfältigste Art und Weise erleben, wobei das Ensemble den Interpretationen seine unverwechselbare lateinamerikanisch-europäische Farbe gibt. „Los Temperamentos“ präsentieren Werke bekannter Komponisten, aber auch wiederentdeckte Schätze von noch unbekannten Meistern: Musik voll wilden Rachedurstes und barocker Träumerei, mit wunderbar emotionalen Momenten und lebendigen, tanzbaren Improvisationen.

Los Temperamentos
Established in 2009 by graduates of the Academy of Early Music at the University of the Arts, Bremen, the ensemble Los Temperamentos specializes primarily in music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The artists hail from Mexico, Germany and Colombia and engage in a unique dialogue reflecting the intercontinental relations between European and Latin American societies that persist today on both a political and a musical level. Their goal is to combine and harmonize the diverse styles of their respective heritages in order to explore new pathways in the interpretation of early music.
