Matthias Well
Born in 1993, Matthias Well began his musical training as a violinist at the age of five. He entered the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich as a sixteen-year-old junior student with Sonja Korkeala and completed his violin studies in the class of Mi-Kyung Lee with honors in 2015. Matthias Well has been pursuing his master’s degree in chamber music since 2016. He was awarded Second Prize at the University’s instrumental competition in addition to the Special Prize of the Kulturkreis Gasteig with his twoWell duo.

As a soloist, Matthias Well has performed with members of the Munich Philharmonic, Holzkirchen Symphony, Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic, and Taurida International Symphony Orchestra St. Petersburg. With the Symphony Orchestra of the German National Academic Foundation, he premiered Alexander F. Müller’s work The burden of tolerance in 2016. In addition to his solo career, the violinist is dedicated to chamber music.

During a master class in Kronberg, he played in a quartet that included István Várdai and Kirill Troussov, and performed in a chamber ensemble with Hariolf Schlichtig and Sonja Korkeala at the Odeon Concerts in Munich. He also concertizes regularly with his sister, cellist Maria Well, and Busoni Competition prizewinner Lilian Akopova. Since 2010 he has held a scholarship from the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Foundation.

Maria Well
German-French cellist Maria Well was born in Munich in 1989 and studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts with Helmar Stiehler, completing both her Artist’s Diploma and subsequent Master’s degree with honors. Maria Well has won many awards, including the First Music Prize, Audience and Special prizes of the Kulturkreis Gasteig, as well as First Prize at the Lion’s Club Music Competition.

She has appeared as a soloist with a number of orchestras, including projects with the Munich Philharmonic. The Bayerischer Rundfunk has recorded several of her solo and chamber music concerts, Since 2008 she has been supported by Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now. Maria Well plays a Guadagnini cello.

Zdravko Živković
was born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1986 and received his first accordion lessons at the age of seven. In 2005 he began studies at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich with Bernd Maltry, graduating with honors in 2011. He subsequently completed his master’s degree with Hugo Noth.

The accordionist has taught at a number of schools since 2013, and is also involved in projects with the Metropol and Gärtnerplatz theaters in Munich and the Theater Augsburg. Zdravko Živković is a member of the Balkanauten band and the Duo Modere.
