Eva Saladin
studied with Kees Koelmans and Lucy van Dael at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and with Leila Schayegh at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland. She also devoted intensive study to historical improvisation in the class of Rudolf Lutz. Saladin completed her studies with honours in 2013 and now lives in Basel.

In her freelance work as a soloist and chamber musician with a repertoire that extends from early baroque to early romanticism, Saladin places great importance on historical playing techniques, stylistically appropriate ornamentation, and improvisation. She is also active in the field of contemporary music theatre and performance. Eva Saladin serves as concertmistress with La Cetra Barockorchester Basel, Gli Angeli Genève, and her own Ensemble Odyssee. She also plays with formations including Collegium Vocale Gent, the Baroque Orchestra of the Netherlands Bach Society, the ensemble Profeti della Quinta, and the orchestra Il Gusto Barocco. Saladin was an artist in residence at the 2021 Utrecht Early Music Festival. Further festival appearances have taken her to the MA Festival Bruges, Les Nuits de Septembre, the Festival de Saintes, the Festival de Lanvellec et du Trégor, and the Arolser Barock-Festspiele, Barockfestspiele Sanssouci, Verbier Festival, York Early Music Festival, and Collegium Vocale Crete Senesi. She has recorded numerous CDs for various labels. Her solo album The Di Martinelli Manuscript was released by Glossa in 2021, and her complete recording of the sonatas by Antonio Pandolfi Mealli appeared on Challenge Records in 2023.
