Marius Neset
Described by Norways national paper, Dagbladet, as ‘the most talented Norwegian saxophonist since Jan Garbarek in the 1960s’, Norwegian-born/Denmark-based saxophonist & composer Marius Neset, over the last 18 months, has been one of the most talked about musicians of his generation.

As well as demonstrating exemplary technique and brilliant invention on both tenor and soprano saxes, he is a composer of intricate, compelling music, bustling with energy and virtuosity. With the releases of Golden Xplosion and Birds, he has been praised throughout the international jazz press, receiving 4 and 5 star reviews for his album and live shows.

In spring 2014 Marius will release an album where he colloborates with the amazing Trondheim Jazz Orchestra. The particularly interesting thing about this album is first and foremost about Neset composing music for his amazing orchestra, with his own playing coming afterwards.
