didn't find the blues—he was born into them. Raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and shaped by gospel music, Southern church culture, and the realities of life on the Gulf Coast, Webb built his voice the old-fashioned way: playing night after night, living the stories he now sings. ​

He first came to national attention in 2020, when his performances on American Idol stopped the show. Lionel Richie called his voice "the sound of barbecue sauce." Luke Bryan said he could "sit and drink a lot of bourbon listening to that voice."
