Ensemble Mini
is a radical collective of super-sonic-soloists from Germany's top orchestras that repackages super symphonic music for new audiences. Addressing the need to make classical music cool for the 21st century, its mission is to revolutionise the symphonic concert experience through new style, sound and setting whilst never dumbing down.

Innovative late-night projects with DJ after-show party have included "mini-Mahler" at Philharmonie Berlin, "Strauss 150: New Perspectives" at STATTBAD Berlin and "Bartók Beyond Borders" at Musikbrauerei Berlin. Artist collaborations have included Regula Mühlemann, Marlis Petersen, Ferhan & Ferzan Önder, Gerhild Romberger, Tanja Tetzlaff, Ruth Ziesak and Elisa Carrillo Cabrera. Recent guest performances have included Konzerthaus Berlin (Debussy), Budapest Palace of Arts (Bartók), Auditorio Nacional Madrid, Essener Philharmonie (Mahler), Mozarteum Salzburg (Prokofiev) and Zaryadye Hall Moscow (Shostakovich).

Founded in 2010, Ensemble Mini has been reviewed and featured often in German media (such as 3sat Kulturzeit, ZDF Aspekte, RBB, NDR and WDR television) and recorded several live radio concerts for Deutschlandfunk Kultur, SWR Classic, NDR Kultur and RBB Kulturradio. Its debut CD of the world premiere arrangement of Mahler's 9th Symphony was released in 2014, the follow-up disc of which comes in 2020 with the reconstruction of Mahler's 10th Symphony.

Future plans for 2020/21 include the ensemble's 10th anniversary world tour with "From Russia with Soul", "Bartók Beyond Borders", "Beethoven Exposed", Bruckner 9 and, in 2021/22, Schoenberg's Gurrelieder.
