On their debut album, the musicians of Trio Neo – Nemorino Scheliga, Theo Plath and Aris Alexander Blettenberg – have brought together two works full of contrasts: Mikhail Glinka’s “Trio pathétique” and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Trio Op. 38.

Although they were composed at around the same time, they offer insights into very different musical worlds: on the one hand, Glinka’s passionate, highly romantic style; on the other, Beethoven’s classically influenced clarity and serenity.

Trio NEO

Trio NEO
is a young Croatian trio for clarinet, violin and piano. Emma teaches at Music Conservatoire Elly Bašić and freelances with Cantus Ensemble and Zagreb Philharmonic, Marija is a member of ZPO and Hana studies piano and freelances in Zagreb. Founded in 2022 Trio NEO has since performed around Croatia (Centre for Culture Osijek, Mailath Castle Donji Miholjac, Croatian Heritage Foundation Zagreb, Month of Jewish culture Osijek). The only specialist trio of this kind in Croatia whose main aim is to commission new pieces and promote a rich repertoire commissioned by other world known ensembles in Croatia and worldwide.
