Michael Brough
is a Yorkshire pianist, organist and composer who moonlights as a lawyer during the day. He has written about a hundred songs, mainly to German texts but including a very raucous duet setting of Bacchus and the Pirates (Alfred Noyes); chamber works including a half-hour bass clarinet sonata; and choral, organ and piano music. He has been a commissioned writer at the Swaledale Festival for several years.
