Info zu Savage New Times

No Mercy No Forgiveness“ zurück.

Keine Gnade. Keine Vergebung. Kein Zurück. Bleibt dran.

INCITE

INCITE
Emerging from the arid landscape of Phoenix, Arizona in 2004, Incite is the brainchild of frontman Richie Cavalera. The band is a dynamic amalgamation of groove and thrash metal, steeped in the legacy of metal titans and energized by a contemporary fury that is all their own. As the stepson of metal legend Max Cavalera, Richie brought not just a legendary name, but a fresh, raw edge to his vocals that quickly became the band’s signature.

From their early days, Incite has evolved with a lineup that has not only solidified their sound but deepened it. Lennon Lopez on drums and EL on bass have been instrumental in shaping the band’s rhythmic backbone for over a decade. Their tenure has spanned the last four albums, infusing each record with steadfast rhythm and ferocity, proving essential to the band’s consistent output and relentless touring regimen.

The band’s early years were marked by a fierce determination to make their mark, culminating in their debut album, The Slaughter, in 2009. This was just the beginning of a discography that would grow to include powerhouses like All Out War, Up In Hell, Oppression, Built to Destroy, and Wake Up Dead. Each album was a leap forward, pushing the boundaries of speed and sound, with Incite honing a style that was as unrelenting as it was precise.

The journey of Incite is marked by significant collaborations and partnerships that have propelled their growth and exposure. The band’s management shifted to FM Management, which helped in strategizing their path through the complex landscapes of the modern music industry. Their connection with Chris Cannella and Gerardo Martinez at Reigning Phoenix Music ushered in a new era, helping to release their latest visceral works.

Touring became the band’s lifeblood. They hit the road with an intensity that matched their music, sharing stages with bands like DevilDriver and Six Feet Under, and igniting crowds at festivals like Bloodstock and Heaven and Hell. Incite’s relentless touring schedule was not just about performing but proving a point – that they could outlast, outplay, and out-rock anyone, anywhere. This grit was tested in 2019 when, despite a blizzard that felled a tree on their van, the band drove 500 miles to make it to a show, undeterred.

Their narrative is not just about music but about survival and brotherhood. With no crew and just a van, Incite has toured across continents—from the stages of Russia and Australia to the festivals of South America—and back, even playing one of the last metal shows on Earth before the pandemic shut everything down in 2020.

Their albums, crafted by luminaries of the production world, showcase the depth and breadth of Incite’s musical prowess. Producer Steve Evetts, known for his work with The Dillinger Escape Plan and Hatebreed, brought out the band’s aggressive edge in their latest releases. Mixing duties were handled by Arthur Rizk, whose credits include Soulfly and Municipal Waste, ensuring that each track delivered a punch as powerful as the band’s live performances. The visual impact of their albums was entrusted to Marcelo Vasco, whose artwork for giants like Slayer and Kerry King visually encapsulated the raw, unrelenting spirit of Incite’s music.

Incite’s transformation into a powerhouse of modern thrash metal is not just a story of survival and endurance but also one of evolution, with guitarist Layne Richardson playing a pivotal role in this latest chapter. Since joining the band, Layne has brought a fresh dynamism to both the live shows and the creative process, elevating Incite’s performances to what many now regard as their most electrifying yet.

Richie Cavalera, Incite’s frontman, has often noted that Layne’s arrival marked a turning point for the band. Under his influence, their sound has not just grown; it has been reborn, with a sharper edge and a deeper groove that fans have enthusiastically embraced. Layne’s ability to sync with the rhythm section, consisting of EL on bass and Lennon Lopez on drums, has created a formidable sonic force, making each track they play resonate with an intense, raw power.

Incite’s latest offering, Savage New Times, continues their tradition of hard-hitting, adrenaline-fueled metal. Recorded under the guidance of producer Steve Evetts at Bell House Studios, and mixed by Arthur Rizk, this album encapsulates the essence of Incite: raw, powerful, and uncompromising. With artwork by Marcelo Vasco setting its visual tone, the album stands as a testament to their enduring spirit and relentless drive.

Through sweat, chords, and sheer force of will, Incite has etched their name into the metal annals, not just as a band, but as a relentless force of nature within the thrash metal scene. Their story isn’t just told through their music but through every stage they dominate, every fan they win over, and every ear they continue to assail with their fierce sound. As they charge forward, one thing remains clear: Incite isn’t just playing the music; they are the music—unyielding, loud, and undeniably metal.
