On 25 September, Red Code will take a step built on years of live performance. “Traces of Unease and Discomfort (Episode 1)” is the band’s first studio release of original material, and Epictronic presents it as a meeting point between alternative-metal aggression and a more progressive approach to structure.

The title is not decorative. The EP grows out of personal experiences contributed by the band members and moves through claustrophobic relationships, toxic dynamics, responsibility for pain and self-sabotage. “Toxic Karma” turns the focus even further inward, confronting destructive cycles, fear, frustration and the struggle to overcome one’s own limitations.

For Eternal Flames, the classification boundary matters just as much. Red Code are not presented as Christian Metal, and the available material does not connect “Traces of Unease and Discomfort (Episode 1)” with Christ, the Bible, faith or Christian spirituality. This feature therefore remains deliberately on the Outside the Christian Scene side of the site.

"Traces of Unease and Discomfort" is the band's first studio release after years of live performance. The sound combines the aggression of alternative metal — with reference points like System of a Down and Godsmack — with the structural influence of prog acts like Dream Theater and Fates Warning.

Red Code

Red Code
were formed in Trieste as a live act, founded by vocalist Lenina, drummer Ivo, and bassist Andrea Bossi, who later passed away. Lenina and the rest of the group decided to carry on. The sound is built around her vocals and the four instruments, with no backing tracks or studio sequencing live.

Over the years, the band have played small clubs, festivals, and motorcycle rallies, opening for Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil), Exilia, Nicola Manzan (Bologna Violenta), Pierpaolo Capovilla (Il Teatro degli Orrori), Underwaves, Tystnaden, Logical Terror, and Break Me Down. They've also been featured on Radio Rai.
