Info zu Salga la Luna y Alumbre (Remasterizado 2025)

José Antonio Núñez "El Chocolate", Gitano singer, better known in the world of flamenco singing by the artistic name of ANTONIO NÚÑEZ “El PULGA,” was born in Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz) in 1981, the son of Antonia Núñez Heredia and Rafael Núñez Núñez. He comes from a family of artists, being the nephew of the singer Rancapino and the cousin of El Puerto.

From a young age, he enjoyed the singing styles of Chocolate, Fosforito, Antonio Mairena, and others. He was part of the Flamenco Company of Charo Cruz. He has accompanied great artists and performed as a soloist. He has appeared in theaters and festivals in Spain, Europe, America, and parts of Asia. A great composer; a notable example is the song “El Alfarero,” with lyrics interpreted by Miguel Poveda on his latest album “Artesano,” where it serves as the main theme. He also participated in Enrique “El Extremeño’s” album, singing bulerías with lyrics of his own creation, including the chorus.

In recent years, he has focused on giving singing recitals at flamenco clubs, such as Peña Flamenca Torres Macarena (Seville), Peña Flamenca “Niño de Vélez” (Vélez-Málaga), Peña Flamenca Blanckstage (Madrid), Peña Flamenca Chiclanera (Cádiz), Peña Flamenca El Almibar (Córdoba), etc. In addition to premiering his show at the Teatro Moderno de Chiclana de la Frontera, “La Poesía del Flamenco,” interpreting different styles, all with lyrics composed by himself. He performed a Flamenco Recital at the Festival de la Parpuja. Currently, he is working on his next album.
