Der aus Columbus, Ohio stammende TIM GRIMM erlangte als Schauspieler in Filmen und TV-Serien wie »Das Kartell« (1994), »Insider« (1999), »Das Mercury Puzzle« (1998), »Superman - Die Abenteuer von Lois & Clark« (1994), »Public Enemies« (2009) oder »The Chicago Code« (2011) internationale Bekanntheit. Darüber hinaus ist der studierte Politikwissenschaftler (Earlham College) zudem auch höchst erfolgreich als Musiker aktiv. So erschienen seit seinem Ende der neunziger Jahre erschienenen Debüt »Heart Land« bis dato elf weitere Studioalben des amerikanischen Singer / Songwriters.

Jetzt legt das künstlerische Multitalent mit »Heart Land Again« (s)einen brandneuen Longplayer vor, auf dem er mit einer komplett neu eingespielten und arrangierten Version seines ursprünglich 1999 erschienenen Debüts aufwartet, das bislang noch nie offiziell in Europa erhältlich war und mit »Staying In Love« und »Love Is More« zudem zwei neue Songs enthält.

»Heart Land Again« ist ein höchst persönliches, emotionales Meisterwerk des Folk- / Country-Genres. Stilvoll instrumentiert mit Gitarre, Piano, Banjo, Mandoline, Harmonika, Bass und Perkussion, handeln die Songs auf diesem brillanten Album zumeist von autobiographischen Kindheits- und Jugenderlebnissen, aber auch von den politisch sozialen Problemen der amerikanischen Gegenwart.

Tim Grimm
lives on an 80 acre Farm in southern Indiana, and has been called “The Poet Laureate of the rural Midwest”. Grimm’s song ‘The Lake’ was part of the soundtrack for A Walk In The Woods, starring Robert Redford, and the director, Ken Kwapis, calls Grimm “Indiana’s Renaissance man”. As an actor, he has appeared in numerous feature films including Clear and Present Danger with Harrison Ford, and for 2 years co-starred on NBC’s Reasonable Doubts. Tim Grimm is also the man behind the successful theatre program and concept CD ‘WILDERNESS PLOTS’ that besides Tim features several of the US Midwest’s finest songwriters. Both TV specials about this show were nominated for Emmy Awards.

For the past 20 odd years the singer-songwriter and actor blended his love for folk music, songwriting and travel with acting in theatre, film and television. He has composed music for the theatre, most recently the wildly successful Finding Home: Indiana at 200 for the 200th anniversary of the state of Indiana.
