Three-time GRAMMY Award-winning multi-platinum band Maroon 5 releases their highly anticipated eighth studio album, "Love Is Like", out August 15th.

Maroon 5’s new album Love is Like marks a return-to-form for the Diamond-Certified group and their first album since 2021’s JORDI. With their new music the group highlights their roots, while subtly expanding their sound on their newly released magnetic single “All Night”. The track spotlights Adam Levine’s rhythmic vocal hooks, layered over bass, percussion, synths, and saxophone.

Frontman Adam Levine has indelibly impacted the face of modern popular music with his characteristic falsetto, which is the infectious driving force behind the band’s hit anthems and heartfelt ballads all of which has helped propel Maroon 5 into becoming one of the most successful worldwide acts in today’s popular music. The band won over fans and critics alike with the hybrid rock/R&B sound they introduced on their debut album, Songs About Jane. In 2025, Billboard named the three-timed GRAMMY Award winning group the top band (and #11 overall top artist) of the 21st Century. To date, they have sold 100+ million albums and 750 million+ singles, earned RIAA certifications in more than 35 countries, and charted 32 records on the Billboard Hot 100. Among these hits, three are U.S. Diamond-Certified (10x Platinum), and 26 are U.S. Platinum-certified. Mit drei Grammys und etlichen Platin-Auszeichnungen zählen Maroon 5 längst zu den erfolgreichsten Bands unserer Zeit. Nun haben Sänger Adam Levine und Co. die erste Auskopplung aus ihrem kommenden, fünften Studio-Album "V" angekündigt: Die Single "Maps" wird am 16. Juni 2014 offizielle Radiopremiere feiern und ab dem 1. August 2014 erhältlich sein.

Das neue Album "V", das Maroon 5 im Verlauf des vergangenen Jahres in L.A. aufgenommen haben, erscheint hierzulande am 29. August 2014. Zu den hochkarätigen Produzenten ihres fünften Longplayers zählen Max Martin, Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Shellback und Sam Martin. Außerdem war Jesse Carmichael, der Keyboarder von Maroon 5, der jedoch an den Aufnahmen zum Vorgängeralbum "Overexposed" (2012) nicht mitgewirkt hatte, dieses Mal auch wieder mit von der Partie.

Seit sie im Jahr 2005 den ersten von insgesamt drei Grammy-Awards in Empfang nehmen konnten (damals in der Kategorie "Best New Artist"), haben Maroon 5 weltweit über 17 Millionen Alben verkauft; ihre Veröffentlichungen wurden in über 35 Ländern vergoldet oder mit Platin ausgezeichnet.

Die einzigartige Kombination von Rock- und R&B-Elementen, die sie schon auf ihrem Debüt-Album "Songs About Jane" und dem Doppel-Platin-Nachfolger "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" (auf dem auch die Hits "Makes Me Wonder" und "If I Never See Your Face Again" vertreten waren) präsentierten, begeisterte von Anfang an Fans und Kritiker gleichermaßen.

Im September 2010 veröffentlichten Maroon 5 ihr drittes Studio-Album "Hands All Over", das in den Staaten ebenfalls mit Platin ausgezeichnet wurde und neben der Single "Misery" auch den Hit "Moves Like Jagger" hervorbrachte. Letzterer erstürmte nicht nur die US-Billboard- und Airplay-Charts, sondern ging auch in Deutschland geradewegs auf Platz #2 der Media-Control-Charts. Er entpuppte sich als echter Welthit: Platz #1 in Österreich, Kanada, Schottland und einem Dutzend anderer Länder; #2 in UK, Italien, Australien; #3 in Frankreich, Spanien sowie Top-10-Platzierungen in diversen weiteren Ländern. Zudem wurden beide Singles für einen Grammy nominiert. Mit dem vierten Album "Overexposed" gelang Maroon 5 vor zwei Jahren der höchste Charteinstieg ihrer Bandgeschichte in Deutschland.

Das Album stieg auf Platz 4 in die Album-Charts ein, während die Single-Auskopplung "Payphone" binnen kürzester Zeit Goldstatus in Deutschland erreichte. Nachdem "Daylight", die dritte Single, sämtliche Airplay-Charts in den USA dominiert hatte, brachen Maroon 5 auch noch den bestehenden Rekord für die meisten Erstplatzierungen in den US-Top-40-Radiocharts und absolvierten eine der erfolgreichsten Tourneen des Jahres 2013, als sie Ticketverkäufe im Wert von über 50 Millionen Dollar verzeichneten.

Neben seiner Arbeit mit Maroon 5 war Adam Levine kürzlich wieder als Gesangscoach in der sechsten Staffel der mit einem Emmy Award ausgezeichneten US-Show "The Voice" zu sehen. Nachdem er in der zweiten Staffel der US-TV-Serie "American Horror Story" sein Schauspieldebüt in einer Nebenrolle gegeben hatte, kann man Levine zudem bald auf der Kinoleinwand bewundern: Er übernahm an der Seite von Keira Knightley und Mark Ruffalo die Hauptrolle in der Komödie "Can A Song Save Your Life" (Regie: John Carney), die im September vergangenen Jahres beim Toronto International Film Festival Premiere feierte und in den Staaten am 27. Juni 2014 in die Kinos kommt. In Deutschland startet der Film im Spätsommer.
