Biographie Hunter Flynn

Hunter Flynn
is a native to the Bluegrass state, born and raised in Pulaski county, Kentucky. Flynn’s first public performance came in early 2022. Since then, the 29 year old singer/songwriter has gained national recognition as one of Appalachia’s most promising young artists. In an area that has no shortage of talent, it is Flynn’s unique perspective and gut punching vocal delivery that leaves the listener with no doubt as to whether or not he has lived the stories he is telling. Flynn has now shared stages with the likes of Zach Top, Wyatt Flores, Josh Meloy, and more. The sky is the limit for this young artist who refers to his style of music as “Appalachian Soul”

After a life-changing car accident in early 2022 pushed Flynn to pursue his creative ambitions wholeheartedly, music became his primary focus. He introduced himself with his debut EP, Appalachian Soul, in May 2023, earning attention for his raw storytelling, emotional honesty and stripped-down sound. He’s been teasing the new album to fans with a string of previously released songs, including “Wasted Day” (5.22), “Robbing A Bank” (6.26) and “Dreams Keep Dying” (7.17), and, most recently, “You, Not Me” (8.21), each accompanied by hand-sketched charcoal artwork featuring his mysterious recurring Appalachian astronaut persona. The cover art for ROOTS takes it one step further with a stunning painting done by Flynn.
