Biographie FAB5
FAB5
was founded in 2020 during the pandemic with a groundbreaking kickoff event—a socially distanced, masked, outdoor performance with a string orchestra led by Victoria Paterson at New York City’s Manhattan Plaza. Beautifully filmed and featured on WQXR, this event was one of the very first and only live music performances after more than eight months of silence, drawing national media attention. Victoria was the driving force behind bringing live music back to New York City at the Jacob Javits Vaccination Center in 2021. The FAB5 musicians performed for more than 10,000 patients daily, along with doctors, nurses, staff, and the National Guard. For nearly six months, seven days a week, she led healing arts programs, demonstrating the profound impact of music in a time of crisis. Her leadership in this initiative received widespread public recognition, highlighting the essential role of the arts in enriching and uplifting our humanity.
Today, Victoria continues to deliver vital programs to the New York State community, improving the lives of seniors, hospital patients, children, and individuals with Alzheimer’s. FAB5 loves bringing music to communities with “rush hour” and “lunchtime” concerts, making first-rate performances accessible to everyone.
