Seit ihrem Debütalbum „Devotion“ (2012, #5 UK Charts) gehört Jessie Ware zu den größten britischen Sängerinnen und Kritikerlieblingen. Heute am Freitag erscheint ihr neues Album „That! Feels Good!“.

In den vergangenen zehn Jahren verarbeitete Jessie Themen um ihre Identität als Künstlerin und Verwirklichungsmöglichkeiten als Performerin. Die Vertonung dieser Entwicklung ist in ihrem neuen Album zu hören: „That! Feels Good!“ verspricht ein reines Disco-Vergnügen mit 70er-Jahre Funk, ansteckenden Groove-Sounds und belebenden Synthesizern.

Neben der ersten Single „Free Yourself“, die bereits im letzten Sommer veröffentlicht wurde, ist auch die aktuelle Single „Pearls“, produziert von Coffee Clarence JR, Sarah Hudson und Stuart Price, vertreten. „Pearls“ besticht durch funkige Basslines und ist eine Hommage an die ganz großen Disco Divas: “Pearls is a record that doesn’t take itself too seriously but demands you to have a dance. It’s inspired by divas like Donna Summer, Evelyn Champagne King, Teena Marie and Chaka Khan and I guess attempts to show – in lightness - all the hats I try to wear (usually at the same time).“ – so Jessie Ware.

Das 2020 veröffentlichte vierte Album „What’s Your Pleasure“ zementierte Jessie Wares Status als eine einflussreichsten Künstlerinnen Großbritanniens. Das Album eroberte auf Anhieb Platz 3 der UK Albumcharts und kombinierte Einflüsse aus Pop, Funk sowie der Club-Kultur aus den 70er, 80er und 90er Jahre. Es erntete Lobpreisungen ohne Ende (“Ware’s finest record yet" – Guardian, “The best pop album of 2020” – Vogue, “A Triumph” - Rolling Stone) und Jessie Ware wurde daraufhin für 2 Brit Awards nominiert, in den Kategorien „Best Female Solo Artist“ und als „Album Of The Year“.

Ware’s musical journey lacks a predetermined blueprint. Born in London in 1984, she initially contributed backing vocals for Jack Peñate and Florence + the Machine before collaborations with SBTRKT and Sampha.

With seven-BRIT nominations, 2 Mercury Prize nominations, and five top-ten albums under her belt, Jessie has proven her status as one of the UK's most influential artists. Her critically acclaimed 2020 album 'What's Your Pleasure?’ was her highest charting album to date and included singles ‘Save A Kiss’, ‘Spotlight’, and Barack Obama’s NYE playlist choice of ‘Remember Where You Are’.

Jessie was awarded 2024’s Best Female at the Silver Clef Awards in support of music charity Nordoff and Robbins and has just finished her 2023-2024 extensive global tour for her most recent album That Feels Good! that featured chart-topping hits such as ‘Free Yourself’ and ‘Pearls’.

Jessie also hosts the podcast Table Manners’ with her mum Lennie which is regularly No.1 in the global Food & Drink iTunes Chart podcast. ‘Since launching in 2017 the podcast has exceeded over 60 million listens and in 2021 won ‘Best Podcast’ at the NME Awards in London. Previous podcast guests include: Dolly Parton, Sir Paul McCartney, Cher, Robert De Niro, Dua Lipa & Florence Pugh to name just a few. Jessie is an ambassador for UNICEF UK and will also be hosting a ‘Table Manners’ Live podcast for Choose Love's Christmas Fundraiser.
